Icesheet in Grímsvötn subsiding
GPS measurements are showing that the icesheet in Grímsvötn has started subsiding which indicates that a flood is likely starting.

GPS measurements are showing that the icesheet in Grímsvötn has started subsiding which indicates that a flood is likely starting. Grímsvötn is the most active volcanic system in Iceland and in the heart of Vatnajökull National Park.
The police has issued a warning for travelers to Grímsvötn and Grímsfjall, on and infront of Skeiðarárjökull outlet glacier and rivers. More here: English | Lögreglan (logreglan.is)
