New exhibition in Skaftafellsstofa
A new exhibition has been designed for the Visitor Center in Skaftafelli and work is ongoing to set it up.
Painting work is almost done and informations to be put up on the walls are also being worked on. In 2022, the installation of a new educational square in front of Skaftafellsstofa was completed, where visitors can learn about various kinds of information about Skaftafell, Vatnajökull and Vatnajökull National Park. In good weather, it is wonderful to stroll around and look at pictures and information in the educational square, and you can often see both individuals and groups there.
Most of our visitors come to Skaftafell to enjoy the natural beauty, but there are certainly times when the weather tempts people to spend time indoors. We are very much looking forward to the day when the new exhibition in the Visitor Center will be ready.
