Herðubreið

The hike to Herðubreið mountain takes about 12 hours from Herðubreiðarlindir and back. It is necessary to start the hike early, especially in August when it gets darker sooner in the evening. The hike itself from the bottom to the top of Herðubreið takes around 3 hours. Wide panorama view. Caution! Great risk of falling and rockfall.
