There are campsites and hut accommodation at Blágil (Laki area) and Hólaskjól (Eldgjá area), hot showers and toilet (WC) facilities are at both places. At south end of Langisjór is a campsite with toilet (WC) facilities.

Mountain huts can be found at Sveinstindur and in Skælingar, in Skælingar is also a campsite.
