Asbyrgi - A midsummernight walk
At summer solstice there will be an easy midsummer night walk to Eyjan in Ásbyrgi. From Eyjan is a good view and on a clear night the sun can be seen gliding along the horizon. The walk starts at Ásbyrgi Visitor Centre at 23.00. Duration: Approx 1.5 hrs.

On this July evening there will be a “singing stroll” in Ásbyrgi. During an easy walk through the forest in the bottom of Ásbyrgi canyon, participants will occasionally stop and sing easy tunes which will echo from the cliffs of the canyon.

'Verslunarmannahelgi' is an annual bank holiday weekend in Iceland. In Ásbyrgi we will celebrate this weekend holiday with a bonfire on Saturday evening, with singing and perhaps some dancing. The event starts at 20.30 and takes place near the camp site in Ásbyrgi, ca 500 m north of the service house
